MV Review Follow Up Tuesday: Triple Threat part two

DH-Hyung doing another solo review, this time for HyunA's long awaited comeback with Red!
First off, allow me to say that Hyuna and 4Minute (Cube in general) isn't really my style. However, you can't deny that they give some catchy songs. This will be partially preachy at times, but let's just review the video!

Monkey bras are all the rage!

The sexy concept- you love it or you hate it. First time watching this MV, I did not understand ANYTHING that was going on-- that is, until, I rummaged through some of the comments.
A monkey's butt is red, red is an apple, apple is delicious, banana is delicious... - HyunA is red - HyunA is delicious!
It's a parody of a Korean nursery rhyme guys! So the concept itself, isn't bad. It's supposed to be funny and entertaining and cute - which I get to some degree. What most people don't agree with is the #Hyunatwerkteam2014 and the overwhelming amount of butt. even though the rhyme is about a monkey butt....

Ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass-- so much booty! The twerk game is strong!

The MV itself, I like watching (not for the dancing) but for the interesting use of everything. There's red, butts, monkeys, and a banana- which all respectfully retain to the rhyme, so props to Cube for being able to find something and make it TOTALLY sexual. And apparently red is a very important color to HyunA, so she gets to promote her favorite color.
Not gonna lie, I do see Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry here. The We Can't Stop look-a-like party scene, the monkey riding a disco ball like a Wrecking Ball, and the rather random Egyptian Dark Horse thing (seriously, was that needed?).
Are you ready for.. a perfect storm?
It's all fun and games until....

Boom! You crash. This has been: The Results of Medical Marijuana with Kim Hyuna + Friends.

Admittedly, I started listening to this with some bias because I remember how catchy and cool Bubble Pop and Ice Cream were for the two days they'd be on repeat on my phone, but I think this tops them. The songs clever and confident and catchy. However, her voice sounds kinda nasal-y throughout the beginning and I only look forward to "(Oh~ Eh Oh Eh Oh), Uh, uh ppalgan geon Hyuna! (Oh~ Eh Oh Eh Oh), Uh, uh ppalgan geon Hyuna!" However, her rapping isn't too bad in this, mainly in the second verse is where the rap shines.

And I'll applaud her for wearing 19 different outfits throughout the whole MV. And I thought CL changed too much...
But I needed nineteen! I have to be fabulously red at all times!

English: 1/5 -  Minimal, like, not even full phrases (unless red lipstick counts...)
MV: 5/5 - Still think 19 outfits and the twerk team was much...Dark Horse had no relevance to anything... but entertaining!
Dance: 2/5 - her twerking wasn't bad, I just didn't like it...every other dance move was okay!
Song: 5/5 - first verse was weaker than the second, hook was the best part.
Overall: 13/20 - 65%

Noticed how I didn't get involved in a debate!!
Closing thoughts: Dear Cube, I want you to give HyunA a comeback in winter and she's fully clothed as an Eskimo. And she sings- A BALLAD.

XOXO,
Dalki-Horong Hyung

MV Review Monday Ep 2: Triple Threat (part one)

~Welcome to Kpop Kubed~
This is Admin Meopin Maknae starting us off today ^~^
Today we'll be reviewing 3 new MVs and I'm uber excited because....
BOY GROUPS <3
(Oh... And Hyuna....)
I'll be reviewing Block B's "Her", and JYJ's "Backseat" because frankly, I'm just not a fan at all of Hyuna xP
(Say whatcha want, I don't like her~)
Dalki-Horang Hyung will be reviewing her MV "Red"

I'm gonna start with Block B because I saw their video first and am a HUGE fan of Block B~
(오빠들 이상해...)

In the beginning we have P.O singing to an awesome upbeat tune which really surprised me because usually the kpop idols with voices this low hardly ever sing maybe not even at all. Nonetheless, it was perfect and instantly brought a smile to my face. Already in the first few seconds I've decided this is my new favorite Block B song.

(Just gonna leave these here.... ^~^)

(Omo Zico with bleach blond hair <3)

Then we have the leader's quick little intro bit where he gives Block B the thumbs up approval ("it's axxxxcelant baby~") while he shows off the new and improved Block B Mobile (BBM for short...) in this crazy colorful comercial style world right before Kyung takes us away with his rap.

Twice the gorgeousness <3
Zico, control your face...
My derps <3

Sadly, there was no typical "Aight~" before he began killing me with his rap so  i was terribly unprepared...
x.x

(Why are his eyebrow's blue? .-.)

Going at such a fast and upbeat pace, the next second Jaehyo, B-Bomb, then U-Kwon are killing you with their vocals. At this point I'm waiting for Taeil to bust out with his amazing power vocals but instead they do their little dance that started making me laugh when I saw it because of how silly it looks xD (It's sooo Block B tho)

This MV really gave me no time to calm down because my smile kept getting bigger and before my chuckles could stop in comes Zico's rap...

Zico, calm your face....
#Rebelmaknaeintheback

U-kwon's just like Hi?~

"Man meets ostrich"
"Aye~ i got dis ostrich yo what you got ?"
"They see me rollin... They hatin..."
"/ostrich too cool for Zico/"
"We best buds for lifeu"
"I just want some hugs & kisses"
"WHY WONT YOU LET ME RIDE YOU?!"
"BEST BUDS GIVE EACH OTHER RIDES ON THEIR BACKS."

Forget the story of a boy and his dog, this is the story of a man and his ostrich.

Now back to the news with U-Kwon & B-Bomb~

At first I thought "is that their album?" when I saw that book Because it looked all unique and stuff but I doubt it now though.

Yet again, we see that Kpop idols count to four oh so rebelliously prolly because it's an unlucky number /shrug/
(For real yo, nearly everyone be going to four like what's so awesome about four?)

Okay, I dunno what P.O is wearing, but I want it....

"Only $199?? I'd pay absolutely anything to get my clothes to smell like P.O"

Leader, you fail.

Adorable Maknae Time~

We the baddest band around y'know

"YEEEESSSS I. AM. MAIN. VOCAL. HEAR ME ROAR..."

Omo more towards the end when Taeil finally came out and did his power vocals I shouted YES! Because I love his vocals so much <3 (/cough/ plus he's hella attractive /cough/)

This, is how I surfboard...

This, is how I run...

Alright well I do have a few questions before I move on to JYJ...
1.) WHO GAVE TAEIL THAT HAT?
2.) WTF IS P.O WEARING WHEN HE's DRIVING THE BLOCK B MOBILE?
3.) WHO KEEPS GIVING BLOCK B SO MUCH LIPSTICK?
4.) WHY ARE B-BOMB'S EYEBROWS BLUE?

Now that that's settled...
I give this MV 7 out of 5 Muffins <3
(7 members, 7 albums, 7 seasons representin...)
They broke the muffin scale because of this catchy, upbeat, and all around awesome MV with their typical Block B derp sweg~

And now, we move on to backseat ;P
"This song is baby making music XD"
-DH Hyung July 28th 2014

Now, I won't say much because DH surely has a lot of stuff to say about this long awaited comeback (especially Jaejoong xD) but I've noticed that JJ is always in the backseat when you see him, while Junsu is in the passenger's seat and Yoochun is driving mostly (sometimes Junsu drives)

So, I've concluded that this song is all about JJ not wanting to sit in the front seat but Junsu & Yoochun keep saying 'No. Get in the backseat'
And the women are just there to add sexual tension.

Also, look at my Junsu bby gettin it~<3

I give this MV 5 out of 5 muffins for being so smooth, cool, and sexay~ We've decided that this is Mirotic Part 2. Changmin & Yunho sure will have to work hard to make Mirotic Part 3.
It seems that only TVXQ can beat TVXQ.

Anyways...
DALKI-HORONG HYUNG, I SUMMON THEE TO FINISH THIS MV REVIEW MONDAY~~!!

Haaaai Dalki-Horong here! I'll just go right off the bat with JYJ, cuz Meopin covered all the bases with Block B....
As soon as I saw this teaser, I was sitting there like "OH SHIT, OOOHHHH SHIT. SHIT. YES."
Okay, so the video starts out with Yoochun in his gangster voice all like "Imma put you on a backseat." and then MUSIC.
Oh JJ, I'll join you...

When I first watching the video, I knew that it was love-making music. Why else would you use a backseat, like, c'mon? But from what I'm getting (I didn't read any English lyrics...) it's the girl may be a virgin or she's very unsure so Jae's all like "You don't have to be afraid now~"

All in all, the video wasn't too bad. I mean, it was simple enough with them posing with cars and singing and dancing (quite suggestively ohohohoho). My only problem is, why did they choose Yoochun to do the speaking parts? His voice is nice and all, but I feel out of JYJ, his English is the weakest compared to Junsu or Jaejoong.
THIS. IS. BABY MAKING. MUSIC.
It should've been rated 19 tbh and not the 15 it got <3
You can put me in the backseat, Jae....

The dance: 4/5 - I needed more dance shots, but what I saw was amazing. Very smooth and sexy and really went well with the song. Such a mature theme *^* only got docked one because it was also a little too rough, y'know?
English: 3/5 - the use of it in the song wasn't terrible, minimal, but good. But Yoochun's part at the end, uhhhh... yeah.
MV: 3.5/5 - SO MANY LIGHTS. I really loved the triangle thingy Junsu was in, but everything else felt like it could've been recycled SM sets. I didn't get any good close ups (close ups are the best ^^)
Overall: 10.5/15 - 2.something/3 so yaaaaay!

I'll write the one for Red on Follow Up Tuesday because I need more opinion on it.
XOXO,
DH-Hyung + Meopin Maknae
