Throwback Thursday EP 1: Bi Rain - Love Song

Welcome to kpop3cubed~

I'm Admin Dalki-Horong and our first post is a Throwback Thursday of me reviewing Bi Rain's Love Song.

In the beginning of this video, we see Rain running rather dramatically towards the camera. I don't really see how it was necessary, to be honest, but hey, more Rain.
Oh yeah Rain, sorry the girl wasn't good, yknow.

The video itself could've been split up into a drama version and a dance version. On one hand, you have happy Rain looking back on the time he had with his girl; laughing and cuddling and stuff, and on the other hand, you have sexy Rain dancing with his backup men.
Not sure which one I like more....

I love Rain with all my heart and soul, but this video was pretty boring. The song really shows off his beautiful voice and range in all its rawness and you can actually hear where he takes breaths when singing (he uses great breathing technique and you don't hear idols breathe in songs so it's hard where to inhale if you wanna sing it yourself without dying...). It's much more vulnerable and night and day compared to Rainism or I'm Coming, which are more dance based and getting you into a good mood...or sexy mood.

As you're sitting watching Rain, during the bridge, he does this thing that is really weird and I'm sitting there shouting at the girl, "THERE IS A GIANT RAIN LEANING OVER YOUR BODY AS YOU SING AND YOU ARE STILL SLEEPING?!"
Seriously, is this normal?

Then, the part we've been waiting for. The time that Rain just strips off his vest and rips his shirt to show that amazing body and go all  'touch mah body' on the video. Bet you didn't see that coming when first watching the video, eh?

"THIS IS A COTTON BLEND!!! I ONLY WANT PURE COTTON!"

After you recover from your mini heart attack, you realize the song was over and you stare at your screen in partial shock and in partial amazement before going back and proceeding to watch that part again. And again. And maybe again for good measure.

My final verdict?
3.5/5 Strawberries!

This definitely isn't your type of song if you don't like ballads. I love ballads, but this song I can only listen to late at night and I can't sleep. Or the English version.

Closing thoughts: Who the heck made the decision that him with long lashes was a good idea?

XOXO,
D-H Hyung
