TR Thursday Ep 3: ¿What's Happening?

So first we have your typical barbie and ken dreamhouse perfect couple life. BUT EVERYTHING IS NOT ALL FINE AND DANDY INDEED.... Lady dollface is having a phone love affair! (*gesp* perhaps she took Mystic Messenger a little too far?... Like certain people I know... *coughs* DH Hyung *cough*)

Les boys that lady doll is flirting with catch feelings bad so they start becoming stalker-like and spy on her. 

And then a small dance break to express their frustrations (a common practice in the korean pop world it seems)

So then Dolly Man (probably the most beautiful superhero ever) finds out about les boys. Instead of realizing he doesn't need some untrustworthy hoe that goes around flirting with 5 other guys behind his back, he wins her heart back. Baro, being the aggressive manly man that he is picks a fight with Dolly Man even though Dolly Man clearly has a height advantage. (Points for bravery though!) Sadly, Baro loses and Dolly Man get Dolly Lady. 

Depressed by their thwarted plans to get Doll Lady to leave Doll Man, B1A4 comes ups with a new plan, kidnapping! (Genius right?)

(How can you just be okay with that periscope in your living room?)

Preparing for war dolly man seals the doors while dolly lady becomes the helpless damsel in distress

"Hehe boys are fighting over me lol~ perfect time for a fake selca!"

And attack!!!

Dolly man was sadly decapitated...

Once dolly man is out of the way the group turns on each other for the hand of the dolly lady

Then my favorite part of the MV, this adorable little dance~

 

Song: This song has a very fun and catchy atmosphere. It's very uplifting and I just can't not smile whenever I listen to it, something that happens to me with a lot of B1A4 songs. It's definitely something I would listen to if I were sad to cheer myself up. (10/10 Muffins)

 

Dance: I love the dance, especially at the end. I love when they incorporate the lyrics into the dance. It's so simple and cute, yet it fits well with their expressions throughout the video. (10/10 Muffins)

 

MV: ADORABLE! (Not so surprising since B1A4's entire career concept is to be sweet, charming, adorable pretty boys over flowers boys that woo the ladies). The thousands of colors and the flashing around wildly from scene to scene with SIX outfit changes pair well together with the craziness of the song. I find the doll faces a bit interesting. Did they simply just not want to show their faces in the video? Or would their attractiveness distract from the main focus, B1A4? Are the dolls supposed to be an "ideal couple" and B1A4 are trying to break them up, because they know the relationship is plastic, a.k.a fake....? (9/10 Muffins)

 

Concept/Originality: Cutesy style MVs that just have the sole purpose of being cute have been done before many times, so I can't exactly say that's original... It seemed like a typical summer jam, which I'm perfectly fine with. I don't mind unoriginality XD But.... nothing is really standing out to me as new or different. (3/10 Muffins)

 

 Lyrics: After reading the lyrics I see now that the girl was honestly just cheating both B1A4 and dolly man. She had them all wrapped around her finger with her lies without a care in the world. She just smiled and giggled away while all the boys fought over her. (Still don't know why she's so worth it when she's fake af xD) (5/10 Muffins)

 

For a total of...... (*drumroll*)37/50 Muffins, a 74% for a final grade of C
